Blue ridge georgia serenity lodge9/12/2023 I miss read the laser package so I sat for a good while waiting for my name to be called. I told her several times for a deeper massage and she was a nice girl, but not strong enough for deep tissue. should have gone with a male masseuse for the deep tissue 85min massage. I called him immediately and said I’m very thankful but hands down he could give a better massage than what I received. It was a nice experience but not worth what my husband paid truthfully. I would NOT recommend "Serenity In The Mountains" if you are a person of color and/or have an accent. I have never experienced such hostility in any of the spas I have visited before. I work for a very large corporation, and we get spa gift cards and group outings as a reward and recognition program. I would finally like to point out that I have been to many luxury spas in Atlanta, Houston and other states. Thinking about it now, she was probably there (in the locker room) to watch us.Įven as we left this place, when we were paying for their "service", we could definitely sense the hostility. I noticed then that she followed us out of the locker room and into the exit room to pay for the "service". The attendant was folding the spa towels as we were using the mirror and sink to wash up, and she was acting as if we were in her way and we felt that we had to rush out of the room. We immediately removed them out of the basket, but it didn't end there. The locker room attendant (or whatever her title is) seemed irritated because my cousin placed her belongings in the wrong basket after taking them out of the locker. The massage itself was good - both massage therapists did a good job.Īfter the massage was over, we headed to the lady's locker room to shower and change. After arriving at the place, I had a question about their add-on services, and I received somewhat of a curt reply and was a little taken aback. When I called to make the appointment and spoke to a lady on the phone, I thought something was a little off, but I didn't want to make a big deal about it. My cousin and I were visiting Blue Ridge, GA and based on the ratings we saw online, we decided to book at this place. It will certainly be on our agenda the next time we come up here for a mountain break. We were then shown to a couple’s relaxation room (no it’s not what you think) where I could unwind while my lucky partner had a further, facial treatment.Ĭustomer service in this establishment is second to none as is the warm welcome and a very high standard of the spa treatments – and I speak as one who has used spas all over the world. The treatments themselves were divine – expertly carried out by quietly spoken, well-trained therapists. It is to be hoped that this is not the only couple’s room because the staircase is more than a challenge, and would certainly defeat older or mobility impaired customers. The formalities complete, we were ushered through the corridors again and this time up a spiral staircase to the couple’s massage room. I don’t know whether this is just me being British, and therefore a little uptight, but paying for top quality treatments and then having to pay over the top for a whiff of Olbas oil to decongest the sinuses, seems a bit much. The usual health questionnaire plus – in our case because we were having a couples’ massage – a second page asking what sort of ‘upgrades‘ we would like for our treatments. Guests are then ushered through dimly lit corridors to the spa reception. Our fourth trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains, yet we’ve only just managed to discover this place.Ī fabulous spa with a gift/beauty shop at the front.
